Rejection

I wasn't selected for the CERN summer program this year. They put me in a reserve list and my application will be reconsidered if by chance any of selected candidate says no to the offer which is zero as a chance for me. Truth be told, I always knew this from the moment I applied for this program. Nonetheless, it's always hard to digest a rejection. I informed my professor, the one who wrote one of the recommendation letters. (f.y.i. candidate had to send two recommendation letters from his professors/supervisors for final validation). He said life is not always a rose petal carpet and I'll get other opportunities for my internship this year. Such a nice man. He's going to Vancouver, accompanying a group of students for 4 weeks in July. He relishes the idea. Being a barefaced person I am, will ask him to send me a postcard.

My cat is sick

It saddens me to see my cat keeps throwing up since this late afternoon. At first, I thought it was only the regular hairball, but then my cat continues disgorging in form of bubbles. Its shit seems even to be too liquid to me unlike the usual days.

Financial "dilemme"

So I'm a bit worried on how I'm doing my budget lately. Just noticed that I'm left with little money in the bank! Not that I couldn't make ends meet until my next trimester allowance which will be in the end of April (crossing fingers!!) but I think it's going to be tight this time! With all the monthly bills, I should cut my personal expenses on leisure&pleasure, that's said, no more patisseries after school, no more tuesday evening pizza, no more movie renting etc. What is more, buying produit premier prix ! Hey, never lowball this kind of mark ok! Sometimes cheap things come with great quality! And buying cheapo-markless-products, they do NOT make me crumby and flimsy either! Just need to be a bit picky and wise in choosing them and of course use a non-transparent grocery bag so that people would not notice what are you buying, especially when you are taking the public transport. Thanks me for the tip honey!

I know that I've just bought the MacBook so that is where my money might go. Only that I've just received a claim for my internship last year as well. I thought that'd compensate the buying. Helas, nope. I spent too much to renew my passport in Paris, TGV tickets and the passport fees. I'd to pay Euro 76 for the fees! I blame the money changer at Chatelet, Paris who charged me Euro 10 for the only Pound 50 exchange. Muchafuckah!!!! What a scam!

Ok not that I really poor at the moment to the point that I have to make plea for money but I need to save money for :

1. paying my Petronas loan , which about RM12k (equivalent to Euro 2,5k ++)
2. paying my flight tickets back to Malaysia for my summer hols, Euro 1,2 k ++
   
3. annual vaccination for my cat, about Euro 1oo
   
4. Easter break at Montpellier, Euro 300 ++
5. emergency saving for my out-France-internship, at least Euro 1k
6. presents for my familly especially for my brother and sister if there are gettin' married soon, sum is undetermined for the moment
7. travel saving for Japan and South Korea, sum is also undetermined for the moment

See, told you I need more money!! Well, let just stop whining for now and thanks God for a decent life that He has granted me since 1987. I'm not a rich bitch but I'm really grateful with what I've. If things gettin' worse, I will just shake my arse and get papa rich!!

p/s : Just received a call from my former binôme proposing me to travel with him and few friends to Spain this mid August! Argh, I want more money!!

An apple a day keeps the doctor away

Big YEAY, I just bought my first MacBook! How about that huh? Especially when I bought it using my own money, not a penny from my family! Ok, not exactly my own money, it's from my sponsorship, but what the heck, I earned it from hard works! Yes, you read it right peeps, you reap what you sow.

I'm still not really used with the OS. Let alone the keyboard! I don't even know how to Ctrl + C or V or X. This is when practiceS are needed. Hoping that I can install my school software such as MatLab and CAO programmes in it. Will have a look on that matter later. I really need a functional computer for my school stuffs. What's the point of having a great machine if you are just using it as a device just to browse the internets?? Euwww I just sounded so nerdy and geeky with all these techno thingies.

Anyhoo, for the moment, I'm lovin my MacBook so much!! Like so effing real! Don't let me start with all those cutie sounds that it makes when I turn on or the jumping icons. You just feel like cuddling it! Okay, I admit that I'm making a big fuss here, knowing that zillions of people have been using it. But hey, I'm not like those spoiled kids who are equipped with fancy and latest gadgets thanks to their mummy or daddy's money! Even I'm using a Nokia handphone with basic sms-calling functions. Like whatever, I don't have to justify myself, I'm the one with a new MacBook here! *evil laugh*

Ok I need to slap my cat now, it's bitting my Mac power cable. Mind that Mac as an adjective is intended. You can call me apple slut from now on baby! ;p

A letter to a friend

Dear H,

We used to talk for hours, on a deplorable floor, late at night tho' we knew we'd to wake up early at 6 the next day.. but now it's like we never knew each other. My call didn't appear a rejoicing for you. My efforts didn't seem reciprocal. We have each other facebook but couldn't care less to get in touch. What goes so wrong between us? Am I really that insignificant for you?

A touch of Tim

Have you watched Alice in Wonderland movie trailer? I don't know you but I just can't wait for it!! Geez, how could they being so cruel by only letting this movie out in spring this year? I just hope that it will be aired in France at the same time in States. Meanwhile, I have to decide either to watch the film in Paris or Stuttgart or Bern since I'm sooo going to watch it through the looking glass in 3D . Yes, you read it well folks, there is no 3D cinema in my place despite being the 7th biggest city (by population) in France. Shame on you GSC Strasbourg! And of course in original version! How could I miss Monsieur Depp's incredible sexy and cheeky voice, duh!!

The film equally proves again another Tim Burton's visionary talent, freshen a traditioanal tale to magnificant exhibition of a motion picture.

Bonjour 2010

So here goes a new blog of mine in conjunction with this kickoff of 2010. I pomise or I try my best that I will update frequently, just how frequent I go to the toilet. Ok that's lame.
